Red Dragon Thunderzord is the new Zord of the Red Ranger and has the ability to instantly morph from Dragon mode into Warrior mode. This guy packs one heck of a punch. He is called upon in the heat of battle and most of the time he is declared the winner. All of the Power Ranger's enemies fear him and some say he is indestructible. He is one part of the new Thunderzord Assault Team to become the Awesome Thunder Megazord.

The Thunderzord Assault Team is made up of four very powerful fighting machines which Zordon gave to the Power Rangers to help them battle against Lord Zedd's new monsters. Kimberly, the Pink Ranger, has the Firebird Thunderzord. Trini, the Yellow Ranger, has the Griffin Thunderzord. Zack, the Black Ranger, has the Black Lion Thunderzord and finally Billy, the Blue Ranger, has the Unicorn Thunderzord. These Thunderzords can combine with the Red Dragon Thunderzord to become the awesome Thunder Megazord.

The Legacy Thunder Megazord is based on this original release from the Power Rangers second series in 1994 albeit painted show accurately. Unfortunately my Thunderzord Assault Team is worse for wear and missing several pieces and I have mislaid the rolling stand.

Originally released in Japan under the Gosei Sentai Dairanger series, much like the Western release the Heavenly Chi Palace (Thunderzord Assault Squad) and RyuseiOh (Red Dragon Thunderzord) were sold separately and in a giftset of Gosei Gattai DX Dairenoh (Thunder Megazord).
