Transformers Victory marked a significant milestone as the first toy
line produced by Takara, introducing an array of fresh moulds
exclusively crafted for the Japanese market. This series introduced
four distinct combiner teams, comprising two Cybertron and two
Destron squads. The Cybertron faction boasted the Multi-Force and
Brainmaster cars, whereas the Destrons fielded the Dinosaur Force
and the Breastforce.
Among these, Cybertron's Road Caesar stands out as a unique combiner within
Victory, featuring just three robots, unlike the others, which were composed
of six robots. Road Caesar's assembly consists of C-320 Blacker, C-321 Laster,
and C-322 Braver, all characterised by their robust car forms with
straightforward transformations, primarily designed to accommodate the
"Brainmaster" gimmick."
Blacker
Transformation: Racing Buggy
Ability: Contains the symbol of justice, the “Brain of Power”. Possesses a super-power that even Star Saber admires. Laster and Braver fight under his direction.
Weapon(s): Blacker Laser
Function: Adjutant Knight
Special Technique: The "Brain Super Attack" involves inflating all four tires simultaneously, which then shoot out glowing needles, shredding the enemy to pieces. This is a devastating attack unique to the power warriors.

Profile: A veteran Cybertron hero who supports Star Saber. Incredibly aggressive and once he’s on a rampage, not even Star Saber can stop him. However he is usually very friendly and very considerate of his comrades, more so than anyone else. He looks forward to see the Multi-Force develop.
Blacker takes on the form of a rugged buggy with robust, oversized tires.
Among the Brainmaster cars, his transformation is unique as he serves as the
central torso component. In his vehicle mode, the canopy can be lifted,
providing a seat for the Brain of Power figure. Additionally, Blacker
includes the Road Caesar head, which can transform into a gun and attach to
the substantial chest shield of Road Caesar. This chest shield can also be
mounted on the roof of the vehicle mode.
Transforming Blacker is a straightforward process, with the lower half of the vehicle mode extending down to form the legs and the front of the car flipping backward to reveal the head, featuring a distinctive hollow face. Upon standing the robot upright and folding down the front chest panel, a space is unveiled to accommodate the Brain of Power figure. Folding up the chest results in the smaller robot emerging, eventually revealing the larger robot's face. This unique gimmick is shared among all three Brainmaster cars and Star Saber.
The robot mode, though somewhat limited in articulation, allows for arm rotation and lateral leg movement. Furthermore, Road Caesar's chest can slot into either of Blacker's arms, and he can grasp the Road Caesar head gun or wield his own white sword.
Notably, Blacker made his way to Europe in 1991 as a Transformer Motorvator
known as "Gripper." This European release included the small Brainmaster
figure, now referred to as an "Energon Mini Figure," and the white sword.
Gripper featured an orange hue instead of Blacker's original red
colouration.
During the early to mid-90s, Blacker found his way into the Chinese market
as part of a reissue series alongside other early Transformer releases.
While the other reissues closely resembled their Hasbro counterparts,
Blacker came in a slightly modified box with a new Chinese Transformers
logo. The box's back featured a blend of Chinese and Japanese text.

Laster

In robot mode, Road Caesar's foot can double as a shield for Laster's
arm, and he can wield Road Caesar's fist as a hand-held firearm.
Additionally, Laster comes equipped with his own black sword for added
versatility in battle. Lasters box features an error with the tech spec
values which were corrected in a pocket Transformers encyclopedia which
was also released in 1989.

Ability: Contains the symbol of justice, the “Brain of Wisdom”. He takes pride in using his intelligence to overcome his adversaries, relying on wit rather than physical or technical prowess.

Function: Strategic Knight
Special Technique: He releases energy oil through the slits on his feet, then swiftly circles around his enemy at super speed before delivering the final blow with the "Brain Hellfire."

The transformation process mirrors that of Laster, and in robot mode,
Braver can deftly wield his trusty blue sword, in addition to harnessing
the mighty Road Caesar fist gun and foot shield. Bravers box features an
error with the tech spec values which were corrected in a pocket
Transformers encyclopedia which was also released in 1989.
Braver's Motorvator counterpart goes by the name Lightspeed, a fitting
moniker considering the car mode's resemblance to the futuristic-looking
Technobot of the same name. While Lightspeed shares the same bold red
hue as Braver, the blue body of its robot mode boasts a lighter, more
vibrant shade.

intended for Road Caesar. These pieces can be transformed and combined
to create a formidable weapon, which can be mounted on top of the
vehicle mode.
In terms of transformation, Laster, like Braver, serves as Road
Caesar's legs, leading to similarities in their conversion processes.
However, it's essential to note that they are distinct moulds. The
rear section of the car, which shapes the robot's legs, incorporates
die-cast metal, primarily serving as structural reinforcement.
Laster's Motorvator counterpart went by the name Flame, who maintained
the yellow Countach form but sported a distinctive pink/purple robot
body. Flame's sword also matched the colour of his robot body. Similar
to Blacker, Laster made its way to the Chinese market during the
mid-'90s.

Braver undergoes a stunning transformation into a fiery red Ferrari F40,
adorned with striking racing stripes and proudly bearing the number 3 on
both its bonnet and car doors. Just like Laster, Braver comes equipped
with Road Caesars' foot and fist, which can be ingeniously combined and
affixed onto the car's roof, forming a formidable weapon.
Like its fellow Brainmaster cars, Braver found its way into the Chinese
market during the mid-'90s.

A fusion of the three warriors, Blacker, Laster, and Braver, he emerges as a colossal hero with an unwavering fighting spirit. While Star Saber reigns supreme in the skies, Road Caesar claims the title of king of the roads. When these two champions join forces, they confront the Destrons without a hint of fear.
Similar to most other combiner teams, this set was also available as a
giftset. However, regrettably, this particular set did not include tech
specs or profiles for the individual team members; only Road Caesar himself
had a detailed profile. In a cost-saving move with Transformers Victory,
Character Cards were now printed on the box flaps.
Road Caesar stands out as the pioneering three-robot team capable of
merging into a single, powerful robot. This groundbreaking concept must
have proven successful, as subsequent teams adopted this style, albeit
with greater refinement. Notable examples include Beast Wars Magnaboss,
Tripredacus, and Car Robots JRX.
